2/14/2019 0 Comments Feb 11-14Dear families, With the help of our room parents, first grade celebrated Valentine's day with several activities including decorating cookies, making beaded necklaces, sharing a festive snack and creating a "Compliment Heart". This heart project reinforced kindness by encouraging each student to think of positive attributes for each of their peers. Each student designed a heart poster for fellow classmates to deliver a warm Valentine's message. It was wonderful to connect with all of you this week during Student-Led conferences. The children reflected on their accomplishments and created new goals. They were eager to present their work to you, clearly taking great pride in demonstrating their skills and talents. Thanks for spending your time with us. Enjoy the long weekend Seema Despite the fluctuating temperatures, we were able to catch the one morning of snow (and slush). They were determined to make their snowmen and glide through the snow. It was short lived but they had a blast!
